SSR - Casualty lists by Capt. Cec Law.

Captain Law indicated to me that he was assigned to a mortar platoon. He arrived at night. The platoon's forest location in the battlefield was a poor one in that the Germans had determined their location and the platoon was taking casualties.

This situation left a permanent psychological mark as Captain Law began writing letters to lost soldier's families before he had a chance to meet them and learn their names.

Since that time Captain Law determined to know SSR casualties in detail: the date, location, names, service numbers, home towns, cemetery locations, and more.

During the years the SSR web site was created, roughly from the 1990's to Cec's passing on 20Apr2011, he created lists in Excel. I saved them as html versions. Some of the lists are portions of what would be a complete list. Cec was constantly working on them, revising and adding to them. Regardless of any imperfections, the reader may find them useful if seeking a list of casualties by name, or by location, or by date.
